Taylor E. Arnold is a senior associate attorney and manager of the Rains Lucia Stern St. Phalle & Silver, PC (“RLS”) Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. He joined RLS in 2023 after a decade of practice in Workers’ Compensation law. He has appeared at every Workers’ Compensation appeals board in Northern California and litigated every aspect of a Workers’ Compensation case up to and including filings before the California Supreme Court.
Prior to joining the RLS Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, Taylor spent eight years handling cases for various public entities and Fortune 500 companies. Over the last few years of his practice, he created and managed a training program for new attorneys as they began their legal practice, educating them on the law and how to ethically practice law. He has given countless lectures and presentations on legal issues and strategies to entities on both sides of the Workers’ Compensation system.
It is this unique insight into the Workers’ Compensation system that Taylor brings to RLS in order to provide outstanding and aggressive representation to our clients. His litigation focuses on ensuring that first responders and other public servants receive the benefits that the communities they serve have provided for them under the law. Although the Workers’ Compensation system is intended to provide expedited medical care and financial stability to those who are injured on the job, it seldom lives up to its goals. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, Taylor provides the clients of RLS with assistance and guidance on expeditious resolution of these hurdles when possible, and aggressive legal advocacy when necessary.
Taylor earned his B.A. in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of San Diego and was subsequently admitted to the State Bar of California. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in California and all branches of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
Taylor grew up in the Bay Area and knew after he finished his education in Southern California that it was home. When he is not practicing law, he can be found with his family and dog on the trails in the east bay, snowboarding in Lake Tahoe, or hiking and camping in the wonderful natural surroundings of California.
