Michael Rains will be teaching at the Internal Affairs class offered by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office in Dublin.
The course will teach law enforcement professionals necessary skills to perform an effective and defensible internal affairs investigation.
According to the ACSO, students will learn:
- Identify the theory, purpose, and impact of Internal Affair Units
- evaluate management, labor and legal priorities
- formulate investigative skills and techniques related to successfully conducting and completing a fair, impartial and ethical internal affairs investigation
