RLS principal Michael L. Rains discussed the discovery of a potentially key report that could help dismiss criminal charges against his client Jason Fletcher, a retired San Leandro Police officer. Jason Fletcher faces charges of voluntary manslaughter from a use-of-force incident in April 2020 that led to the death of Steven Taylor. Rains alleges that former District Attorney Pamela Price's office withheld a report written by use-of-force experts. Rains said, "[the report] indicated they do not believe his conduct was unreasonable or criminal."
