Michael earned his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Justice Studies from Arizona State University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he served as Tech Editor for both the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin and the Maritime Law Journal. He is admitted to practice before the State Bar of California and is an active member of the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association (CAAA).
Prior to joining RLS, Michael managed high-volume caseloads at both applicant and defense firms. Over the course of his career, he has handled diverse legal issues, presented to the Industrial Claims Association, and navigated complex third-party subrogation and credit issues to maximize net recoveries for his clients. With his years of experience handling both applicant and defense cases, Michael brings unique insight in to each of his cases.
It is this extensive hands-on experience and deep understanding of the legal landscape that Michael brings to RLS to deliver dedicated and effective advocacy. His work focuses on navigating Alternative Dispute Resolution processes for public employees and ensuring injured workers receive the full scope of benefits and protection provided under the law. Although the workers’ compensation system can present significant administrative and legal challenges, Michael leverages his comprehensive background to provide strategic guidance toward efficient resolutions and assertive representation when litigation is required.
When he is not practicing law, Michael enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and live concerts, cooking meals for family and friends, and spending quality time with his family.
