Marie represents peace officers in administrative investigations and disciplinary matters. In addition to a diverse legal background, Marie also has prior law enforcement experience. Before joining RLS, she worked as a peace officer for the Concord Police Department, as well as a Level II Reserve Officer for LAPD.
Marie’s legal experience started as a certified law clerk in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in what was then the Hardcore Gang Unit. As an attorney she previously focused on civil litigation.
Marie graduated cum laude from George Mason University, with a B.A., where she was also a member of the Equestrian Team. She then earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School, where she was part of the Journal of International Law and worked as a research assistant, primarily supporting with publications related to national security law. Marie earned a Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services provided through her participation in the public service program.
Marie deeply appreciates the sacrifices that police officers and their families make in the course of their service, and she takes their representation personally. In her free time, you’ll find Marie with her family and friends, weight training at the gym, or at the shooting range.
Marie is licensed to practice in all California State Courts.
