Synopsis:
RLS senior associate attorney Andrew M. Ganz represents OPD officer Phong Tran against charges of perjury levied by Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. The perjury charges relate to a 2011 murder case investigated by Officer Tran.
The court convened for a hearing on Friday morning to discuss a search warrant on Tran's cellphone. During the hearing, Judge Patton accused prosecutors of misleading statements made in their pleading related to the warrant.
Andrew Ganz reiterates that there is no basis for the charges.
