Description

San Francisco law firm with statewide offices specializing in the representation of public employees seeks a recent graduate attorney for its legal defense practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research and writing skills, and thrive in advocating on behalf of law enforcement and other public safety employee clients. Entry-level attorneys receive excellent training and the opportunity to work independently in a supportive, collegial, team-oriented environment. Duties includes representation of clients in administrative disciplinary matters, criminal cases and participation in our 24-hour critical incident response rotation. Candidate must be a well-organized, dependable, and highly motivated professional. A demonstrated commitment to public service is also highly desired.

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the California State Bar
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to travel
  • Criminal experience is a plus
