Synopsis:
Two former San Rafael Police officers appeared in court this week to face felony charges stemming from a use-of-force incident last year.
In the incident, the former officers confronted Julio Lopez San Rafael gardener over an open container on the street. A confrontation ensued, and the gardener suffered injuries related to the arrest.
RLS partner Julia Fox represents one of the charged officers. She believes the evidence will show the use of force was reasonable, and that the charges cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
